Build Competition
Foundation is an upcoming Minecraft structure competition hosted by The Bakery and BuildersRefuge, challenging players to push their creativity and technical skill to the limit. Launching on April 2nd at 8AM EST (13:00 UTC), with a reveal on March 19th, the event invites solo builders or duos to create original builds on 151×151 plots, entirely in-game, with no external tools or reused assets.
Participants will compete across four core judging categories - Technical Skill, Composition, Creativity, and Design - each scored out of 10, for a total of 40 points per judge. With strict guidelines to ensure fairness and originality, Foundation is all about building from a clean slate and showcasing what’s truly possible within Minecraft itself.

Guidelines
1) The contest plots are 151 x 151.
2) You may participate alone or as a duo.
3) You may have 2 plots as an entree, only one is judged.
4) No external software or tools, keep it in-game. (Blender, other modeling software, AI,..)
5) You can use a reference, but you have to include it in the competition entree form.
(Not including your reference, even if it's generated, may deduct your points.)
6) Display entities will be disabled and not allowed during this competition, other entities such as item frames, armor stands, etc are allowed.
7) Your entree is built on the provided Bakery or BuildersRefuge dedicated competition servers.
(Additionally, there is no moving builds if you don't build where it's supposed to be)
8) Anything you build is from scratch, no reused assets, props or more. Clean slate.
Judging Process
Judges have the option to remain anonymous or be public with the option to allow messages or other interaction regarding build entrees. Their preference will be displayed either in the announcement or on the website.
Builds are judges on 4 vital topics, each topic will equal 10 points with a total of 40 points per judge per build.
Technical skill: x/10
Dedicated to finding neat building tricks and featured creating superb shapes, details and more that normal block placement couldn't achieve.
Composition: x/10
Dedicated to scoring how the build stands, it's presentation and lay-out, how the build flows and comes together as a whole.
Creativity: x/10
Dedicated to it being unique, how special is may be, doing things outside the box or keeping it simple whilst implementing ingenious ideas.
Design: x/10
Dedicated to lifting the build up, interior design, external assets that make the build come alive move, does the design and style work?
